On the left is part of the N503i phone running a Java game. The 503i series
is a set of Japanese cell phones capable of handling the i-mode system and a
special type of Java applications.
This i-mode Java standard, which is a rival to MIDP (see e.g.
MIDP-Man) was developed by NTT DoCoMo and is commonly
referred to as DoJa.
I built this game mostly as an experiment, to see what these cell phones are
capable of. People who happen to own one or have an emulator installed may want
to check out the ingredients page for the program
and the corresponding JAM file.
Click on the "i" button to start the game. Then move the penguin using
the cursor keys.
